Touchy - Feely

So this past week we have been in Florida! I attended a conference for work, then my hubby and little man came to stay the weekend! We went to Sea World, and the Tampa Lowry Zoo. Landen was all into it, we were able to get close and even feed animals. We fed dolphins, seals, sharks, giraffes, and sting rays! I felt like a kid again, dreaming about working at the Zoo. I am shocked that Landen was so hands on, he jumped right in! The sting rays were his favorite by far!
Who knew giraffes ate crackers?

Dinner at T-Rex!

Oh, yeah L and I rode a camel too! LOL!

Yarn Makeovers

I love to dye! It is very fun and takes little effort!
It can be going on in the background of any day around the house!

I recently was digging through the stash and decided to pull a few yarns out that I couldn't see my self
using anytime soon. Then those were divided into "needs a makeover" or "needs a new home"!

Contestant #1- a lime girl, worsted weight- loved the feel, just not the color so much!

Then a little Splish Splash....

Contestant #2 - a light blue/gray gal, just looked a little sad...

again Splish Splash.......

Contestant #3 the family of nude- (couldn't show indecent photos on my blog, so no before picture)
Splish Splash

It was fun! And all the ladies are happy!

New Year, New Ideas

It is hard to know where the time goes! I have been busy lately jotting new ideas down and sketching my heart out. I have big plans for 2010. I always think big, and try to make it all happen! With buying a kiln last year, and oh yeah, a spinning wheel, it is hard to say what I will get myself into next. I love to learn new skills and broaden my horizons. I am hoping to sell my wares at 6-8 shows this year. I love to meet new people and to see how they react to the items that I make. Not to mention that it is so fun!

What are you working on? What do you hope to learn or accomplish this year?

Make a list, write it all down and consult it often! It keeps me on track...
